01/20/2012 - Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Chuck Dibilio, the 2011 Ivy League Football Rookie of the Year, was recovering Friday after he suffered a stroke overnight, the university announced.

Dibilio, from Nazareth, Pa., was recovering at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

"They removed a clot in the main artery of his brain early this morning," Chuck Dibilio Sr. said. "He is currently recovering. They are trying to find out what caused it, so they can prevent it in the future. As far as a long- term prognosis, we are a long way from knowing, but we appreciate all of the support Chuck has received."

Dibilio set an Ivy League record for a freshman by rushing for 1,068 yards this past season. He also scored eight touchdowns and was named to the Ivy League first team.

Dibilio finished fifth in the voting for the 2011 Jerry Rice Award, which honors the FCS freshman of the year, is presented by The Sportsbook Betting Lines and sponsored by Fathead.com.

In 2009, Princeton running back Jordan Culbreath missed most of the season after being diagnosed with aplastic anemia and bone marrow failure. He returned to play as a senior in 2010.
